Any body reproducing the black plastic gasket going from body to taillamp housing yet on a 66 cuda?

I reused the old one for the rear glass.Cleaned with lacquer thinner and dosed with Formula 2.Replaced the windshield with new,doesnt fit the way it should.If you have a good rubber,i would refurbish it.

Check the vin first,make sure it is a S. The emblem is in the wrong place,someone may have just stuck it on there.

I used a Charlies aluminum on my 340.Had to heat it up and dimple it for clearance.Not a bad job i would think you could do this with a stock steel pan as well.I took a steel pan off mine that cleared ok but not sure what it was,i assumed a 340 pan.

Looks like the same p.o.s gasket i got.Mines not leaking but looks the same.Some use window urethane when installing as a backup.Messy though.

Ive been with Hagerty for 4 yrs.Paying $285.00 on both cars a yr,the dart i dropped to comp this year to save a buck.There are some certain rules you have to go by this way though.

Any where to get new bearings/seals on these?66 if that matters.Thanks!

Im with Rumblefish,i modify anything i can.As far as the stock stuff,save it just in case,what your doing is reversible.The value thing,only worth what the next guys gonna give ya.Now go on and have some fun!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Vic.Not sure of the year but its a mustang scoop.Uncle pulled it at a salvage yard years ago and had it in the attic since.May have come on some torinos too,seen one in a mag similiar.Minor mod at the rear for the body line in the center of the hood,other then that bolts right on.

Wish i had a better pic,i painted mine with Duplicolor semi gloss black and gun metal grey metallic.Sprayed the gunmetal down then black over it and back again giving it kind of a marbelized look.Have to do all 3 pieces of the dash at the same time so they all match. If you want spray "chrome"...

Seen a few on ebay over the years.Not saying its factory for sure but i really wouldnt think there would be too many people painting there 66 cudas THAT shade of pink.

Thanks Grumpuscreature im sure your right.My hood used to pop up before i restored it now it barely moves when i release the latch.I found a spring lying on the bench but couldnt figure out where it went.Must of been for another project.Thanks.

On my 66 barracuda is there supposed to be a "pop up" spring under the hood?Cant find a pic anywhere.Thanks

Thats it.I have not seen new ones for the older darts either just thought if they were the same as the cuda i would use them if i found a used set.

Sorry,i thought this would be confusing,at the top of the door jamb,front of the quarter panel,you have to have door open to see it,in front of quarter glass it fills the opening between the glass and front of the quarter panel.Without it in place you can look down inside the quarter panel.

Any body making the door jamb seal in front of the quarter window yet?I have seen advertisement for refurbishing your old ones but i dont have them to start with.Are the barracuda and dart seals the same?

Another for 66 barracuda lower quarters.I dont need them now but lower front fender patch panels would of been nice too.
