Toast is not so bad if it is all you got. That hood "looks" pretty descent if it is just surface rust. I would weld up the holes, grind off the spotwelds sand it and use it. That could be a pretty pricey and hard to find replacement part

Welcome and very nice Dart. If the car runs half as good as it looks you should be able to drive it 7000 miles with no issues. What a great find. I think I'm a little jealous too:)

I would do the standard headers, good dual exhaust, intake, cam, 4 barrel carb, just for a good improvement. I almost forgot to mention that a electronic distributor upgrade is a good thing to do too. P.S. congrats on such a good find. Good luck on your build.

in your second pic with the hood open you can see the hood release. It's the lever attached to the hood pin. You have to open the hood at the hood itself, there is no inside hood release. p.s. how did you get the pic of the engine? p.s.s there isn't a trunk release either, you gotta use the...
