i had a cracked flexplate on my small block dart that sounds like the same thing it was cracked right were the bolts holt it to converter it was just a small crack and wasnt that bad. but it got a bit worse and everntually 3 of the wholes were cracked gud place to start might be flexplate

well im just getting ready to put my 727 tranny back in my 71 dart and its being bulted up to a 360, anyone have any quick suggestions on how to make this tranny install a bit easier, any and all tips would be great thanks guys,,....

well u might want to get under it and adjust the bands, try adjusting the 1-2 band befroe u take it in ya knw. gears depend on the rear end that is in car, mabye 2.76 or 3.23

yeah i think u should try to get ur hands on and 8 3/4 much stronger and it is a brease to change the 3rd member. for instance u could have a good highway gear like 2.76 and if u wanted to swap to a 4.10 it would take 45 mins to an hour and u cud have way more umph...u shud deff try to get an...

well i disconected the line to the tranny cooler and started engine and it pumped out trany fluid real good so im guessing the pump is good

yeah well the kick down is conected to the trnny i just had it so it was locked in the proper position. and it ran fine like that before shift kit

i dont think u need to find a good 340 mechanic. i mean if u can work on a v8 pushrod engine u can work on any of them.. u just take time putting it together. but i love the 340 lots of potential prob the greatest small block ever made...but its awlways nice to have a good mopar guy work on...

yeah going to a higher stall will get u quit a bit more umpgh with harder launches. i just put in a 2800 stall tci and when i had the stock 2.76 gears its still launched hard and good. but honestly the drivability around town is a bit worse lol

well i just let it sit in nueltral long enough for the engine to get to about 180 and i got it to hoble around the block and its still not goin anywere
