Wow, I have no idea, I put headers on my 74 Dart Sport 318 with spool mounts with no interference on the passenger side. Now, the driver side was a whole nuther subject, lol. Perhaps post a pic or two.

I used the Jegs kit as well. Worked out pretty well.

Hey Richard, either one from post #16, and I would suggest Stage 8 locking fasteners (header bolts). I used the Stage 8 on mine and have had no issues with anything backing out............because they can't, lol.

I had mine that way for a while. The only drawback was if you get into a dusty area it blows dust up all over. Other than that, no issues with exhaust smell here.

I just bought some 1200* insulation and wrapped my starter instead. Haven't had any issues since.

I do believe those Y pipes are made of unobtanium.

Probably a good idea, as lining the headers up might be a bit difficult. (getting them over the studs)

I can't imagine it would be too difficult. The pieces that come off the headers are fairly short and would allow for some rotation to align with the rest of the exhaust. I would also suggest you look at the system from Jeg's. When I bought mine, I wanted welded mufflers and not the rolled lip...

Yeah, you should not have had to bend them at all. Occasionally with the less expensive headers, you might have to make a ding or two on the driver side to clear the steering box, but that's about it. I have a set on a 74 Dart Sport and have about 7 inches of clearance on the driver side. It...

It's the American way..... :D Like I said, I bought a set from another seller on Ebag, and I thought the quality was great (for the money). I don't know if these are comparable, but if so, I would buy a set, ceramic coat them on the inside and run the pee out of them.

Like I said, I bought a set for my truck, they still look good 10 years later. Of course that has been 10 years so the quality may not be there anymore. I still have a brand new set in the box, lol.

Oh, and too late now, but you could have ordered the kit, and ordered the mufflers separate and saved 10 bucks. Go figure, eh. Unless they have figured it out.

Not really, it fit pretty good on my car. As you are running toward the back, when you are fitting the pieces just in front of the mufflers, make sure to fit them and check the mufflers to make sure they are even, if I recall correctly I had to cut a small piece out of the driver side piece to...

If they aren't cracked and are complete, that's a good price IMO. Look them over real good, measure the outlet it should be larger than say a 318 manifold. I have seen them on here a few times for nearly twice that. Do you have a pic of them?

The better question is what are they asking? If they are in decent shape, they can command a fairly good price tag.

Are you going out the back or dumping in front of the rear?

Plans for the car? Driver, spirited driving, occasional dragstrip? Budget?

IF everything is true, you shouldn't need them. When I pulled the original manifolds from my 'teen, there weren't any gaskets and it didn't leak!

Where at the bumper does it terminate? The ends should be out under the physical steel of the bumper, and not forward of it. I was very careful when I put mine on to make sure it ended up there.
