    Your opinion on this combo

I have just taken the enginge and trans out of the car for a major look-trough and upgrade. Im going to change to a roller cam from hughes engines, eagle H-beam rods and possibly new pistons. The trans will get a new 3800 stall converter from Dynamic and an overhaul with new clutches and so...

    Schubeck lifters

Does anyone use these lifters? I have read alot of good stuff about them, but are they worth the price you have to pay for them? Heard they were reusable if you change the cam? Just bought a new cam from hughes engines with 260/264 @50 lift with .587/594 " lift with 1.5 rockers. Does...

    M1 or Super Victor ?

Im curious about which of these manifolds would do best for my setup, i currently have a Mopar M1 ontop of a pair of ported mopar commando alu heads that have been ported a little ( 277cfm at .600" lift ). Its a 416 stroker. I have just bought a new cam for the engine with 260/264 @50 lift with...

    Vacuum question!

Is there any drawback in having a high idle ( except for the noise ) ? More wear on components etc? I like having a little high as it tends to send the hole car in wobble when standing still with lower idle rpm! The lambda meter seems to be very interesting as a tool to setup the carb, read...

    Vacuum question!

But for the carb, does the demon perform better than the avenger but the demon is more work to tune? Me and my father are thinking of investing in a lambda meter for tuning the carb! Would this save alot of hassle when working with a demon or would it be wiser to go for a avenger right away ...

    Vacuum question!

Thx for all your answers! I think i figured the vacuum thing out! I looked more at the advertised duration than at the @.050. And then also that the idle rpm is so high, i tested to lower it to about 700-800rpm and the vac. dropped to 4-5 ipm! :) Would there be a performance gain worth the...

Hi! I recently got some info on the engine that sits in my car that i bought last year! The engine is a 340 stroked to 416 with mopars 4.0" stroke crank. The crank has been cryonized (spelling?), what is this and what does it do? The rods are stock rods that have been shot peened and...
