72 Demon Sliding Top Sunroof Questions (I just bought one)

I have no idea how many were built, but if its something you just kept stashed and worked on it when you found the time I'd say it'd be worth it, even if you were just to sell it to someone to finish it. Its a special car. Even if it's just a 318, its not something you saw every day, even when...

72 Demon Sliding Top Sunroof Questions (I just bought one)

I would definitely restore it. If only the body. If the engine isn't numbers matching then that kinda frees the choices up. It's definitely something very unique. I've only ever seen the tiny sunroofs. It doesn't look too bad honestly. The rockers are the hardest part. Everything else looks...

    Rust removing laser?! Holy cow!

Seen this before. Would be amazing to have, but its crazy expensive. Maybe we could get everyone on the site to pitch in and the whole community could use it lol

    Duster to Demon conversion

That's how I feel. It'll look a little different. But I'm actually a fan of the later year tail panels

Duster to Demon Tail Panel Swap Here is a how to article from a user on this site, hope this helps

    Duster to Demon conversion

Yep, definitely doable. Just have to swap the front clip from a 70-72 Dart over. I believe 71-72 are the more correct years, but any of those will work. Also need to change the tail panel. That's the hardest part

    Fenderwell headers?

Personally I'm not a fan of cutting holes in perfectly good sheet metal. If done correctly I don't think there'd be a noticeable difference in strength of the sheet metal. The more you take out the less strong it'll be. But if you keep it to a minimal amount I don't think there'd be an issue

    Identifying Headers

Hey y'all. Recently on CL I found an ad for a bunch of headers. Real good price on them. I was wondering if it was possible to identify them just by looking at them. He did not list what that were for, and suggested I come out and look at them myself. It's a bit of a haul, so I was wondering if...

What do you like BEST about working on / or restoring your car

It's a love-hate relationship with body work. The time it takes is killer, but seeing the end result and realizing that I did that, that I made that happen, that's what makes it worth it.

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Today I'm finishing up filling the holes on my fenders. I debated making a thread about this, might still. Was worried I'd get my head bit off for how I'm doing it. I'm using a product called Fast Weld. If anyone works on airplanes they probably know it. It's a lot more heavy duty than regular...

    Learning how to price items

Hey FABO. I know that items are worth what someone is willing to pay. I'm pretty new to the Mopar hobby. There's been more than a few times that I've struggled to figure out what to price something. Any suggestions on how I can learn what to price things? Or is it something you just learn as it...

To keep the trim or not

Vinyl top will come later. When funds allow it. I definitely want one. It's still awhile away from paint so I've got a long while to sort everything out. Just wanted some opinions. Thanks!

To keep the trim or not

Gulfstream Aqua Metallic. With a matte black stripe. I really like the trim but I'm worried it won't look right with the car. I really like the way it looks on your car though.

To keep the trim or not

Hi all. I have a 1970 Dart Swinger. It came with the side trim. However I don't have the trim. I'm going to do my build a little different than some. I'm trying to decide if I should keep the trim and cut it off right before the butt stripe. Or should I just fill the holes? Filling the holes...

    An update on my project

Awhile back I posted about struggling with my project, especially body work. A good number of members commented on it, giving advice and encouragement. Going into it, I knew nothing of body work. I got my Dad to show me the basics, and then he threw me to the wolves. All in all it took probably...

    Looking For a Thread

Looking for a thread I saw a little while back. Tried using the search function but couldn't find it. It was a thread for upper control arms. They came out of a 1968 Barracuda. I remember that because I posted a thread asking if they would work for my car. If anyone remember this thread and can...

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Body work, body work, body work. So much body work. Working out the low and high spots on my fender, then it was on to light coat of body filler and then lots of sanding. A past owner just filled it with about an inch of bondo. Loving it

    Struggling with my project

Just an update. My Dad took some time to show me how to do basic body work this week. Got one fender all filled and sanded. Really happy with the way it looks. Thanks for the advice y'all!
