It's very possible Roy. We have 4 pieces of floor in the trunk to finish and they should be pretty easy. If I can work both Saturday and Sunday it should work out. If I have to work at the job then maybe not. We'll try though.

You have no idea what a stock or super stock racer will do for a hundreth of a second. Have you ever seen the aftermarket engine blocks with the enclosed cam tunnels? Well, you can do that with a stock block too. The list of little tricks like that is endless.

The biggest pro for the elephant ears is you can cut the mount stands off the K frame. More room for headers and working on the thing. But they are solid. If you don't mind the vibrations it will be fine.

Jim when ever you lose a driveline component under power you must remove the trans and inspect the over running clutch. That is what happened to yours. The over running clutch can not hold and it zings the front drum to 3X engine RPM. A stock 727 cast drum can't stand that and it blows apart...

They do not have to be 3" studs. The rule book states the stud must be long enough to engage the threaded hex portion of the nut by at least as much as the diameter of the stud. In other words a 1/2" stud must thread at least a half inch into the hex portion of the nut. Generally not an issue...

Hey Roy, it looks like if you just shorten the drivers side to match the passenger side the wheel will be centered in there with an aftermarket rotor hat. If you have some wheels and tires we can install the axles, slip a tube over the ends and it will roll.

Last weekends work. It took longer than expected but the rear tunnel and fillers are done.

If the converter is right your ET probably will not improve. My car ET's and 60 foots the same with the footbrake or the transbrake. Reaction time however is different. It's red light city off the transbrake on a .5 tree.

I leave at 3000 when racing on a .5 tree. I remove the chip for a .4 pro tree.
