Got it figured out! The diaphragm for the secondaries had a small rip in it right on the edge of where it sealed. I am still figuring out the right accelerator cam and secondary spring settings but the main stumble is gone and the secondaries actually work like they should now!

The 390 on he slant has a nasty mid range stumble that I can't track down. When your accelerating it goes from 1st to 2nd fine (A-745 3 speed and 3.55 gears at the moment) but at the top of 2nd it will start to "cough" and stumble all over it self. It also does it when you floor it. I have been...

The new carb should come with all the gaskets you need. Keep the phenolic (wood) spacer, it works great for any heat issues.

The drop base with the black spacer is still lower than the raised base is. It does work at least with an AFB style carb in an A body or in a 73 camaro or in anything else that I have put an AFB with a drop base in. With that intake I'm not sure if it will still clear the hood due to how tall...

You want to get the black plastic Edelbrock 1" spacer to put under the drop base air cleaner. That way it will lower the top of the air cleaner and raise the bottom enough to clear the linkage. I have had to do this on several vehicles over the years.

You used to be able to buy them in kits that you had to weld yourself, they are called "log style" intakes. They are easy to make yourself, the only thing is finding or making a good set of flanges. I would love to build one for my 360! And they never made one for a small mopar, just big...

I have to reclock the little tab on the back so it is strait when on but other than that it is a very tight seal! NICE!!! I am going to paint it before I put it on permanent just so it wont catch someone else's eye. THANKS!

No. You could rig something up by fabbing a bracket and bolting it on or if the guy you got the carb from never said anything about the piece being cut off see if he will give you your money back or send you the part and some money so you can get it welded back on.

What about hiding them in the upper rear of the front wheel wells? You may have to do some tricky sheet metal work but I bet it could be done pretty easy. Look at the pic of the Dart in my sig. The space would be just above and maybe a little forward of the fender emblem.
