    possible your fuel is bad? might be that the fresh fuel you pour into the carb burns off then when the fuel from the tank kicks back in it's problematic. good luck though

    pista, yeah i've got a gasket on the way. the engine was rebuilt not long ago so i'm guessing the gasket will be in good shape. but like you said, if i'm in there... thanks.

    i just put a 2.25 pipe on a stock 225. added a thrush turbo muffler and 2.25 tail pipe. the car feels like it breaths a little better. the sounds is nice too. more resonation through the pipe. still pretty quiet though.

    i had some issues during my disc conversion with keeping track of thread sizes. i ended up with a misfit at the rear brake outlet of the P valve that i solved with an adapter.

    gents, i'm not sure if this is a slant 6 specific part or not, but i cannot seem to find out what it is. starter relay maybe? more curiosity than anything else. 65 valiant, slant 6 225. thanks for your help. jp

    thanks for the replies, gents. i always appreciate the insights you guys offer up here on FABO. My current carb is a Carter BBS which works very well... i think i just got mesmerized by the sparkly new carb and wanted to hear it that would be a great upgrade. not the case i now understand...

    Holley 1945 on an 1965 valiant 225?

    Gents, I just stumbled onto a NOS or refurbished Holley 1945 this one and am wondering if i should try installing it on my 65 valiant 225. any thoughts from my more experienced mopar folks here? has anyone ran one of these on a 65 /6? thanks, guys. jp
