So i bought a skip white HEI distributor and am trying to get it timed its running with a e coil and a msd 6al cdi. On the website it says that depending on what kind of cdi box your running, the motor would run funny above 3000 rpm and says to switch the wires around...but it does not tell you...

ya thats very possible ill dig into that dizzy and make sure vacuum is locked out...how did you lock yours out the vacuum and the machanical...does that reluctor make it a more acurate tighter fit thanks for the help guys

I'll have to try either locking out the mechanical timing or a lighter spring or try the white dizzy or look into the Mancini one...70 aar does ur motor feel like its missing at higher rpm, I'm just wondering if maby I'm getting what ur describing(spark scatter)

one of the reasons im looking to replace my distributor is that when i start it and the rev it into 5, 6 grand it wants to miss until i play around with my timing until i can hear it by ear that its not missing anymore and then i think that its fine and i should be good to go but ive had it...

what are you running for a engine Scamper mines 11 compression 360 e85 engine cam specs are 570 lift on both and 275 duration at .50 so little to no vacuum...did you just get a different spring to adjust ur timing advance

ya the poly mounts are pretty expensive...i have stock mounts in my 440 dart and a small chain on the drivers side bolted to the head to the frame

im getting closer to putting my 360 in my cuda...now what do i do as far a motor mounts i dont think i wanna do solid i dont feel as that has enough give and the stock rubbers i dont know if they have enough durabillity. if you do mounts either solid or rubber they have to match what you have on...

Ya Thats my thinkin to, that and putting 2 large filters will give me for sure 2 quarts more of oil so i can stick with my old 5 quart oil pan nd still have a 7 quart system with better filtration and cooling....i no i saw one with longer hoses but were connected by gear clamps nd i dont like...

does anyone have a way of finding 35 36 total timing and marking it on the dampener ive heard something like 1.5 inches past the tdc mark....im running a vacuum advance mag pick up nd the motors got a lot of cam so i dint have a whole lot of vacuum
