Wrong. The 2 wires to this switch are connected like any light switch. Chassis ground happens beyond the reverse lamp bulbs.

Most bulb sockets are available new. 1157 socket may be all the same across Chrysler platform but don't bet on it. They do vary at diameter of hole in the fixture. Good luck
