    I'm still on it! After making the frame rails and part of the trunk floor section and fabricating the entire tie section that supports the frame rails to the trunk and the lower valance. Cutting myself, burning myself, getting metal in my eyes, ears and mouth i finally got it back together.

    Yep I'm still working on her! Finally finished the Frame rail for the Passenger side just need to prep the car to weld it in. I'm getting better at making them for sure. I finished both quarter patch panels from Laysons and wheel house fabrication as well. Here is a pic.

    I believe it's 36 inch cheap Harbor Freight chinesium. I used 16 gauge for this which is really to heavy for this style bender but I used Map gas to help along.

    Check with laysons restore..I think they supply the corners for the gasket..They are starting to produce more for our cars.

    Pulled my old rug up and removed door panels and found matched clips and ink stamped May 5th 1964.. Pretty cool since I read they didn't hit the dealers until the first week of May 64..how early was yours?

    There are no side plates..spring goes straight into a bracket..car has no shackles for side plates..I saw the rock auto shackle for sale but didn't see front of spring bushings on the site..I have to investigate more for bushing sizes.

    I have great luck with Testors model paint, you can find at any hobby store.. Get a small bottle of primer and red and blue flows nice with a small hobby paint brush works excellent should last forever.

    Is that a common spot to rust on the car..what's amazing is below it, down in the quarter in front of the rear wheel isn't bad at all.. If there are drain holes I have to find them thru the years of crap that fell in there, not to mention the over excessive bondo left behind from someone trying...
