Make sure you dont use a 318 metal intake gasket on 340/360 heads. It will make a giant vacuum leak and you wont be a happy camper. 273/318 are small port heads 360/340 are big port. If you can't tell what port size the intake is post up a link or a part number and someone here will know.

Its a fairly mild cam but still leaps and bounds better than stock. Idle is pretty smooth, plenty of vacuum for power brakes.

318 stock bottom end and heads with a 340 cam, nice intake and headers will run pretty good for pretty cheap. You could still probably get some decent mpgs out of that combo too. If you have a big wallet go with the stroker, throw the 318 heads in the garbage and go bigger and better heads.
