you might check your seat tracks to make sure they go fully to the rear, if they do modify the mounts or floor holes to move the seat rearward, Lawrence

I think your bracket mounting bolt is in the wrong place-- not sure-- but a valaint/barracuda radio is very similar & the face plate can be swapped. I'm pretty sure that mounting bolt should be on the bottom side of the radio, the picture of the bracket with out the radio shows the correct...

yes-- they have a square peg with a clip-- I've always had issues-- but some guys can get them to pop right off--- I ended up using a large flat blade screwdriver & the trim to & got them off ,Lawrence

the lock cylinder has a tab for the lock rod-- do you have it orientated correctly-- it might be binding causing this? also the push button lever same thing -- is the S shape going the correct way? just a thought since one side works & the other doesn't. Lawrence

windshield removal is not the difficult, heat is your friend meaning sunshine, also a pliable gasket is nice. use plastic wedges,(I've use wood shims) have plenty of time set aside & work the rubber gasket loose from the windshield. take the lock strip out & clean up the old grime /debris...
