    340 Vs 360

I've built a 340 and a 360 both the pretty much the same giving .2 extra compression to the 360. No, I won't share the results. I will say that 3 of my cars are 340s and I will say I was more impressed the the quality of the castings of the 360's.

knock off air gap intake question

When I said the one that I bought was a pile of crap I meant it was a pile of crap. I couldn't consciously sell something that isn't worth the aluminum that it's made of to another member of this forum. I'd be afraid to back over a crosswinds intake with a dump truck because it would depreciate...

knock off air gap intake question

Whatever I bought 3 eddy airgaps and never a problem. Now the crosswinds, the bolt holes needed to be egged out to fit a factory pair of J heads. After that my mysterious vacuum leak turned out to be porosity on not one but two intake runners.

Which Rods and pistons for a 360?

FWIW I built a 360 10 years ago using stock rods, ARP bots and speed pro 116cp hypereutectic pistons. 8 of those years I beat the living **** out it. Over reving, 175 shot of spray, and just generally just trying to blow it up. I couldn't do it so it sits waiting for the next project car. 360...

360 build, hp and compression thoughts!

It sounds like a common combo, the piston and cam choice is what many people migrate to. My guess would be somewhere in the 310 to 330HP range. I'm not a fan of the 4160 carbs. A nice Holley 650DP 4777 would be my choice.
