72-80 use the same gate... 81-93 use the same gate....it will physically fit in the opening but the latches on the sides of the gate are different. the 72-80 have a tab with a rectangle whole in them and the 81-93 use a striker bolt design. its really not a bad swap just cut the rectangle latch...

well i didnt feel like turning wrenches tonight so i polished an old set of weiand valve covers ive had for awhile. its not a professional job but they certainly are much nicer than they were :D. im probably gonna hit them with a polishing wheel to see if i can get them to shine a little more...
