5.7 Hemi front distributor drive kit

Why would anyone want to digress 50 years and NOT have a coil on plug setup vs. the archaic distributor?

I will have manual steering and the stock location with the Schumacher mounts. Fingers crossed…

6.4 Header Options .. TTI Long Tubes vs Shorty / Stock K (also, anybody got used for sale?)

My 2 cents is that the TTi 2” primary long tubes fit my gen 3 / 69 dart mock up way better than the small block W2 TTi headers that I have now. Tucked up nice too. As I return to a gen 3 swap, I am really leaning towards the TTi shorties. Looks like the motor can be dropped in with those...

1968 Barracuda / Hellcat Redeye swap project

Hmmm, many SS/AA and A and B/MP A-bodies back in the day at 700, 750, 800 hp would debunk that thought. Todays SS/AH cars still have torsion bars and braced steering boxes, right? Yes, they have notched and boxed K members, but that’s for oil pan removal more than anything. 8.30’s @ 160+ speaks...

Head and steering column don't get along...

In my case, the motor is as high as it can go already.

Head and steering column don't get along...

If all bushings are fresh and the linkage is all righty-tighty if works well. Why? I'm wanting a mild 12-second street car look...semi sleeper. (Yes, a Gen 3 hemi)

Head and steering column don't get along...

Howdy, As we have heard from others before me, my G3 head contacts the sleeve on the steering column. Has anyone successfully notched this area and RETAINED the column shift? Or has anyone lopped off the offending portion of the head?? Discuss...

    Tti header fitment

Yep. What fklskv said. Shim it! In the original pic, though it looks like just a minor love tap needed on the header tube to get the t bar in place.

    Gen III / A body...high 10's / low 11's...street strip car. Anyone?

Very cool intake! I had never seen one before...awesome! Next question: what front cover do you have that has heater hose provisions?? I'd like to see more motor pics if you'd like to share. Thank you!!

    Eagle heads?

You have been most helpful, sir. THANK YOU!

    Eagle heads?

Good info, Mr. Pace. I appreciate the input. No I don't own that long block, but I know where one had been had locally for a very good price, brand new still in the crate. The long block for me is ideal, as IF I do an Gen III swap into my 69 Dart I'd run carbs to keep it simple for now. I was...

    Eagle heads?

I have read that Eagle heads were on 2009 and later 5.7's. Is that ALL 2009 and later 5.7's? Anyone have any idea what heads are on long block part #68278435AA? THREE different Dodge dealers can't tell me. GRRR.

    Gen III / A body...high 10's / low 11's...street strip car. Anyone?

Wait...what? A Hogans intake for a Gen III? I'd love to see pics of that! Also, what is a "big gears" ratio? Thanks!

Man, I really do appreciate that. I may have a question or two...

    Gen III core prices ! ! !

Yea, yea, yea...I know they not comparable to the LS crap, it's just "core price envy" LOL. You're also right those prices were just a quick scroll through the local classifieds. Good info you submitted...AGAIN. THANKS !

    Gen III core prices ! ! !

Wholly molly ! ! ! These GEN III cores sure aren't priced anywhere near the GM 5.3-6.0 LS core stuff. I should have known Used 6.1 shortblock with Mahle pistons/Eagle rods - $3200 Used 6.1 long block OE - $1995 Used 5.7 long block OE - $1800 Bare 5.7 block - $900 What are the going rates...

    Gen III / A body...high 10's / low 11's...street strip car. Anyone?

Yes, good info. In just looking at a Modman intake I figured it would be junk; Rat Patrol confirmed that. This is too new to have any testing data, but one wonders... OCPerformance Parts, LLC. - The 1st single 4bbl Gen 3 Hemi Dual Plane!

    Gen III / A body...high 10's / low 11's...street strip car. Anyone?

Okay then, let's hear it! I will need an MSD controller for $600 no matter what, carb or EFI right? The carb intake is +/- $600. I have many carbs to choose from. But sense I'm a gen III "newbie", what all do I need to stall an OE EFI in a 69 model car? Thanks for the input.

    Gen III / A body...high 10's / low 11's...street strip car. Anyone?

Good stuff, thank you! If my project idea comes to fruition I will lean towards a carb in the beginning for simplicity.

    Gen III / A body...high 10's / low 11's...street strip car. Anyone?

I'm wondering about a fully streetable, 3400#-ish A body, 3.23/3.55 geared ride that can run anywhere in the high 10's/low 11's. Sixpackgut ran what...low 10's with a 3.55 gear so it should be able to be geared street friendly. Maybe something simple... Starting with a complete 5.7 core...
