Some dyno testing you guys may want to follow on YouTube

With everything going on I forgot all about the T-ram setup, it's only one more intake lol, I'm game if you are

Some dyno testing you guys may want to follow on YouTube

Thank you and I really appreciate the offer but I think we are good with the heads we have for this test. What we really need is a trickflow intake, I ordered one quite a while ago and the date keeps getting pushed further out, I think it is estimated to be in July now!.

Some dyno testing you guys may want to follow on YouTube

The first round of testing will be with ootb heads and intakes, the heads are speedmasters, edelbrock rpms and trickflows, there might be one more set of heads in the test as well. After the initial test the rpm heads will get a basic port job by @Newbomb Turk (since that was why they were there...

Some dyno testing you guys may want to follow on YouTube

This is very close to what I am doing, 410 with 11.1 compression and an older hughes/engle sft with 257/266 @.050, .587/.602 lift on a 107 ls. So far for intakes we have an rpm, victor, m1, also 1 7/8 headers and an 830cfm blp carb.

Some dyno testing you guys may want to follow on YouTube

Well I am very fortunate as we own the dyno so that part of it is covered (although still not free by any means lol). We will be testing several intakes as well but unfortunately as of this point the trickflow is still backordered and showing available in June?, so that may not be in the line up.

Some dyno testing you guys may want to follow on YouTube

I am building a stroker short block right now with the sole purpose of testing some speedmasters, edelbrock rpms and trickflow ootb heads on the dyno. While I agree it would be really interesting to see what some heads done by pbr would do the problem is they are not a widely available part to...

    Strip Dominator and M1

We tested a victor against an m1 intake on a 408 with trickflow heads that was making 527hp. The victor had been mildly ported by the late Larry Smith (intake runner work/plenum blending) and the m1 was untouched. We were surprised they were within a few hp of each other with near identical...

    Strip Dominator and M1

I deleted the post after going back and looking at it, it was not relevant to this thread. I can say the sd and m1 are identical in power and the holley is the predecessor to the m1.

    TF & Speedmaster Flow Tests

I have an engine, a dyno, two out of the three sets of heads I want to test and two out of the three intakes so I am getting close.

    TF & Speedmaster Flow Tests

In this case I don't think track times are better than dyno results, too many variables. Take one engine, one dyno, two sets of heads and get the tune spot on is the most accurate comparison you can get.

    TF & Speedmaster Flow Tests

I don't dispute that the bloomer heads are top notch for a std. port head and make more power but I don't consider them to be in the same category as the trickflow. They have larger intake port than most ootb intakes can be ported to, are roughly 1K more than trickflows and add the fact that...

Small block + 4 speed build

Depending on the block you should need to mill around .010-.015 off to achieve zero deck, at least that has been my experience.

    checking cam lobe taper/nitriding lobes

I will say that I saw the difference between a cryo treated cam and untreated while Tim was switching intakes on the dyno. Both were near identical 408 builds (cams/valve springs) and the treated cam looked brand new after break in and 30 or so pulls where as the untreated showed normal wear.

Magnum head question with +.100 longer valves

Not sure what pressures you are looking for but these are a pretty good spring for a 1.68-1.7 installed height, you could shim them .020 and get 144 on the seat. Howards Cams 98437 Howards Cams Performance Mechanical Flat Tappet Valve Springs | Summit Racing

New TrickFlow vs Edelbrock Victor340 intake testing. Numbers are in.

I have some big plans for the dyno but between my wife's health and dealing with the expense/teething issues of putting together a dyno things are behind by a year or so lol. Tim and I have plans to test a multitude of things on a hot "street/strip" 360 including intakes, heads etc. Between him...

Small block + 4 speed build

My car was built to be a street/strip car and is a stick. The 360 stroker makes 550hp/5800 and 550tq/4400, it pulls to 6500 with ease and is built to run a 150 shot of nitrous. It has ootb trickflow heads, 11.1 compression, ootb rpm air gap with an 850 blp carb, a racer brown sft with 256/256 @...

Based on what you are saying it sounds like a bad *** street car with a stick, what are you wanting to make for hp?.

Head flow and power differences question / discussion

Just an example but my 410 with ootb trickflows made 550hp @5800 and 550tq @4500 with a sft cam and ootb rpm air gap. I am very happy with the trickflows and my engine but if I had the heads you have I would have used them.

    13 sec. 360 for $3,000?

Yes, I think it's great when someone (especially a young guy/girl) takes a stock engine/high geared daily type beater that runs 14's and for less than a grand sprays it into the 12s. Then they close the bottle and drive off down the road lol.

How can i make 700 horse from a 410 stroker

Really lol, I just wanted to let guys know that as of now callies is planning on making a new version of the R block and throw some shade at the guys complaining that they cannot afford race blocks after whining that their aren't enough options. And yes its a cheap investment when you need...

How can i make 700 horse from a 410 stroker

I just have to point out that mopar guys are complaining about a lack of race parts and then saying they are too expensive!. I like to do more for less as well but jeez for guys to complain about a lack of race blocks then complain about the price of race blocks that ARE available is ridiculous.

How can i make 700 horse from a 410 stroker

While I appreciate what your saying I have to say regarding race blocks that's a load of crapola lol. If you are complaining about a race block being expensive and then having to machine it then you don't need it. You should see what our buddy spent on his sbc dart block, it's pretty close in...

How can i make 700 horse from a 410 stroker

Actually callies has the original blue prints for the R3 block and when they are done with the big blocks the plan is to reproduce the R block. This was originally told to me by the parts manager at a chrylser dealership and confirmed by callies themselves, it's actually their sister company...
