2000 is too much. consider that you can get a roller from dartbodies.com that has zero rust for like 7k. really.

tip for future adjustments: use masking tape around the edges before you start. do a clean job taping it will help you see the gaps better as well as protect the paint in case of a mishap

just as a driver it's ok. offer him $1500 cash. rust repairs take time. you could do the bondo thing for now then fix it better someday if you get the cash. double check the frame make sure it's not rusted. then pamper the old girl.

i saw a post on another site, just figured i'd share this AMD Duster Fenders Approved! Great news - Duster fenders have finally been approved! 70-71, 72 & 73-74 Duster fenders are now in production and should be available in the next 3-4 months.

i'd leave it as is, and if you want one of the '69 box cars then find one and sell yours rather than hack it up.

mods dont matter really. dusters are not worth big money like '68 chargers or '70 cudas if the sheet metal is in good shape you probably got a good deal. those tail lights look kinda cool actually lol
