Stud Size Problem, 5 on 4".............

I had no recollection of those........ I changed out the rear to a nice 8-3/4 which I believe are 1/2"-20 studs....... I also have wheel adapters on the front which are 1/2"-20 studs, but they were apparently installed OVER the original 7/16" studs....... Thanks for the quick...

Wheel Adapters ?? YA or Nay

I've been running a set of adapters on my Cuda for the past 6 years....Lot's of experience. 1. They're OK on the rear unless you're gonna hammer the throttle...Remember they're bolted, and bolted again....and made of aluminum. 2. They look great, as they "widen" the track of the car....as long...

    '67 Barracuda Bolt Pattern

The adapters will loosen regularly. At worst, they sound like a CV joint getting ready to blow, but louder (when they're loose)....and do NOT use an impact driver on them, or kiss them goodbye. Hand tighten them, or a torque wrench.

    repainting/refurbishing rallye wheels

They do the same thing with interior plastic paint........ I've been restoring cars for over 38 years, and Krylon Fusion for plastic interior parts is simply the BEST I've found, and is a BOATLOAD less than "big name" paints.....and adhesion promoter is already in it. So blast the name...

matching my body paint with wheels

Ditto's on what 66 says.............. I've had very little problem with chipping or peeling when the wheels were first blasted, covered with etching primer, then prepped and painted either with something like Dupli-Color sprays OR base/clear. Duplicolor sprays are lacquer base products which...

    New Wheels For Your Rod

Get ready for a whole new class of auto accidents and law suits based on blatant "distraction"........... On the NYS Thruway, around exit 28 in Fultonville, for YEARS they had a full sized Tractor-Trailer hoisted up on a huge tower as an ad for the local Truckstop of America. They made them...

    american outlaw 2 rims

You guys can call American Racing direct and order those SBP wheels.....and they're a little cheaper than going through the middle men....... They make them to order.....at least they did last year when we had to match up a damaged wheel........they told us that they still have quite a call...

    dog dish hubcap color

If the cap is thoroughly cleaned, and the areas to be painted are prepped with 0000 steel wool and prep solvent, you can use any good grade of enamel spray, or by brush with "one shot" sign enamel (if you want what I believe to be the best for such applications), or believe it or not, Rust-oleum...
