    Sway Bar Application Question

I have a '68 Barracuda that I'd like to add a Hellwig sway bar to. I have the '73 and up V8 k-member and no provisions on my lower control arms for the end links. Is 55905 the correct part number for my application? I called Hellwig, but their tech support told me I needed 55914 which appears...

    Power Steering Pump Pulley Alignment

I just ended up using washers to space it out correctly.

    Power Steering Pump Pulley Alignment

I have an issue with my power steering pump not lining up. The belt going to the alternator is fine, but the steering pump pulley sits probably 5/16" behind. I know there are different brackets, pumps, etc. and I was hoping someone could help identify what I have and what I need. The motor...

    Adjusting Air Shocks

There isn't a front hanger; I have relocated springs.

    Adjusting Air Shocks

I ended up installing 3" blocks in the rear to bring it down. The front needs to come down some, but I prefer this to how it was sitting earlier.

    Steering Column Problem

Mine has it. You can clearly see the screw backed most of the way out in one of my pictures.

    Steering Column Problem

So, when I'm reassembling it, is there a sequence to getting everything lined up correctly? When I had the collars on the column, I tried tightening the nuts but it didn't really seem like it was doing anything.

    Steering Column Problem

VDART sent me the nuts and bolts that I was missing, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how they would hold the two collar pieces together. What am I missing?

    Adjusting Air Shocks

Yeah, the description is not accurate. It only comes drilled with one hole, so that's what I used.

    Adjusting Air Shocks

I found a part number on the passenger side spring (Mopar Performance P4120864 Competition Leaf Spring); I noticed that its a driver side spring. I wasn't able to find a number on the spring that's currently on the driver side. I don't have a picture, but at the current ride height, the lower...

    Adjusting Air Shocks

I did the US Car Tool Spring offset kit. The previous car (red) was already set up this way (I'm not sure what kit was used on that car). Since I wanted to use that axle, I did the conversion on the blue car. http://store.uscartool.com/mopar-a-body-spring-hanger-relocation-kit.html Its the...

    Adjusting Air Shocks

These same springs were in the red car (in the picture with the Center Line wheels).

    Adjusting Air Shocks

It's not the shocks. I removed them, loosened the leaf spring bolts and then jumped up and down in the trunk and the car still sat as high as it did before.

    Adjusting Air Shocks

I loosened all of the leaf spring bolts and then removed the shocks to see where it naturally wants to sit. Surprisingly, it's still at the same height. The only difference between the setup before and after is the spring relocation kit that was used. The one on the blue car is the US Car Tool...

    Steering Column Problem

I took apart the column to figure out why there was so much slop. Those screws that I took a picture of were just sitting there loose.

    Steering Column Problem

My steering column is not constructed correctly. There are two screws that look like they should hold the collar onto the column, but there is nothing for them to screw into. I can stick a screw driver completely in the hole and never touch anything on the other side. In this picture you...

    Adjusting Air Shocks

Well, then I guess I don't have the schraeder valve. Its probably easier for me to just replace them. The interesting thing is I moved a rear axle from one car to another while relocating the spring mounts. Neither car sat really high before, but it does now. 8.75 axle without air shocks...

    Adjusting Air Shocks

I've never had any before and the ones I have now are too pressurized so the rear end of my car is jacked way up. Everything I've read just talked about using what you'd use with a tire valve, but the connections on my shocks are bigger than that. I'm sure there is a simple solution, but...

    Column Shift Lever Install

I cleaned up in my garage yesterday and by some miracle, I found the pin. Apparently it fell out while I was installing my new flaming river coupler. Install wasn't bad at all. I used a small screwdriver to line up everything and light taps with a hammer sent it home (eventually).

    Column Shift Lever Install

The metal piece where your red arrow starts is fixed. The yellow is a little plunger on top of the spring. It was very difficult to get a screw driver in there to pry the spring back and still have room for the lever. I finally got it, but it was very difficult. I just put a small zip tie...

    Column Shift Lever Install

The lever won't go back to where it was before. Whatever this is, its keeping it from going in.

    Column Shift Lever Install

My column shift lever fell out (in park) because there was no pin in it. Obviously, I need a new pin, but is there a certain way that it installs? I couldn't find an exploded diagram so I wasn't sure how it all goes back together.

    Flaming River Steering Coupler Question

I didn't end up cutting mine, but as you can see with this picture, I didn't end up with nearly as much space as you did. The coupler is as far back on the column as it would go and all the splines are engaged on the box.

    Flaming River Steering Coupler Question

I just purchased the FR1506P coupler for my power steering column/box and I'm confused on the directions. It says to cut off 1.5" and then slide the coupling on another 2". Obviously, I don't have 3.5" to work with. The directions that came with the coupler are labeled FR1506M so I...

    Simple Suspension Bolt Question

I am installing a spring offset kit this weekend. I ordered the kit from US Car Tool that uses the factory spring hanger mounts to locate the brackets. Unfortunately, I don't have any of those bolts. Can anyone tell me what size bolts (length and thread pitch) they are? I just need to pick...

    Need Axle/Suspension Advice

I'm swapping an 8.75 into my '68 notchback and the perches on it are already set for inboard springs. My car is not set up for that and I don't have subframe connectors either. Should I just go ahead and cut the frame and install new spring boxes or would I be better off just welding new...

    What suspension do I have?

From the looks of it, I have the '67-'72 steering linkage. My outer tie rod ends look pretty good (not pictured), so at least I shouldn't have to worry about them. I'll need ball joints and the control arm bushings looked a little crusty. Is this what you are referring to as sandwich style...
