    The 1965 727 should have different splines on the input shaft than the later trans/converter. You might be forced to use your existing converter. Get the balanced flexplate if needed.

    Those .990's are in my Dart now with a 440. They set the ride height smack in the middle of the adjustment range.

    73 was good year for motorhome engines. Look for the peanut spark plugs and non weighted damper.

    Stock short block,440 builds....

    The one I have on the stand waiting to go in is out of a 77 C body. Cast crank .Original pistons about .140 in the hole. 452 heads milled .025 with a mild bowl blend. Steel shim head gaskets. Should be right about 8:1. It has the old 284 cam installed +4 with Crane singles and Comp locks...
