Hi all, I have my engine in the car, and want to put in my roller rockers. I just got some clevite ball and cup push rods for the job. Nowhere can I find the specs to put adjustable roller rockers on a hydrolic cam engine. My setup is a 360 with the stock 340HP grind purple shaft and...

Help. Timing chain installation 360 LA

You're right Fishy. What threw me off was that I expected to have the dots lined up 12 and 6, as the instructions said, and be looking the lobes where the power stroke was about to take place. Rookie Cam installer mistakes. LOL Thanks guys for all your help.

Help. Timing chain installation 360 LA

Hi all, Talked to MRE this morning. Even though the instructions say that the cam gear lines up at 6 oclock and the crank gear at 12, they told me that the cam gear needs to be at noon as well. Thanks for all the help guys. I knew this thing was 180 deg off. - Stu

Help. Timing chain installation 360 LA

Hi all, i'm installing my MRE double roller timing chain. The crank key is between 1 and 2 oclock with the #1 and #6 piston at TDC. I line up the dots between the crank gear and the cam gear but I notice that the cam lobe for #1 intake is straight up. Is this correct? I would expect that...

    Procomp roller rockers

Hi all, i bought a set of procomp roller rockers off ebay. these seem like really nice rockers with needle bearings and all. Unfortunately the support I'm getting from the ebay dealer and procomp are not very good. Here's my problem. Stock push rods for hydrolic are ball end at both ends...

    stock rocker spacing.

Hi Rumble, this is side to side gaps between the intake and exhaust rocker. Essentially with everything installed, and number one at TDC, I can slide the rockers on the shaft. so the slop as I call it is horizontal, not vertical. Thanks. Stu

    stock rocker spacing.

Hey all, I'm about to put in my new springs and cam, but before I did that I noticed that the rocker arm was a little off center from the valve, then I noticed that I have about .09 inches of gap between the two rocker arms on the number one cylinder. Lot of slop there I'm able to move the...

    summit cam selection

on the recomendations from Mancini racing, I bought their kit for around $300 with the 340 grind purple shaft, new MP lifters, springs and push rods with crane retainers and hardware and a double roller timing chain. I told them I wanted some "Umpff" without a really radical idle. I'm...

    318 to 360 swap

Hi, Not to go against rumble, but the 904 has a much nicer first gear if you build it for use with a 360. Since the 360 is externally balanced, you'll need a weight on the converter or the flex plate. I went with a B&M balanced flex plate, so I could get any mopar stall I wanted without having...

    Mancini Racing

Mancini is the best! I deal with a guy named Art. He's very knowledgeable and eager to help me out. I bought the same cam kit you're talking about. Purple Shaft cam. I got the stock 340. Mopar Per. lifters, comp springs and retainers and pushrods. great deal. I shop with them first...

    360 Flex Plate

so I just matched up my 318 flex, and the holes lined up, however if you don't have the externally balanced torque converter, you'll have to get a balanced flex plate. I just got one from summit for 70 bucks.

    Magnum serpentine

Hey all, I'll be ready to trick out my engine bay in the next few months, and was wondering if anyone has ever taken the serpentine system off a 5.9 magnum and put on to an LA 360? From what I know is that they're basicly the same engine with a tighter angle on the valve train. If so, is it...

    please help 225/318 swap

Another question is what are you doing with the 318? stock, it's an easy swap. Just get the conversion motor mounts from Schumacker. You'll need A Body headers, not the ones that came with the B body. Remember, your front end is set up for the slant, so you probobly have drums up front. if...

    Swappin 318's

When I opened up my old 318 before I bought the 360, there was a bolt missing from the #2 main. look for metal shavings in the sludge at the bottom of your oil pan. take compressed air and blow through the coolant journals to get any crud out of there. Replace the front and rear oil seals...
