    360 vs 383

There is a European team that campaigned a V8 Viper by disabling 2 cylinders in the V10 block, and they did pretty good. The Vipers were dominate so the other manufacturers got the rules adjusted to slow them down and the team found loopholes to keep competing, and winning, with the Vipers...

    360 vs 383

    It's kind of interesting (to me) to compare the rated rpm's for these motors. ___________HP_________TQ '71 340 235@5000 310@3200 '73 340 240@4800 295@3600 '74 260 245@4800 320@3600 Doesn't make sense to me why the '73 340 with lower compression and a log manifold on the right...

    [FOR SALE] 1969 Dart Custom

Maybe he's just messing around ? Seems like to good to be true. From what I see and what's available for sale on here and other mediums it's way under priced. Just the rolling chassis in that condition is worth 11 k. Maybe you disagree but that's just my opinion. Good luck to all trying to...

    Pistons

I’ll tell you Dan, the biggest issue I have with any KB piston is the garbage 5/64 ring pack. I can’t think of a single scenario where those thick tractor rings would be better and I can’t think of one. In my world any piston made today would have no thicker ring than .043 and it could be made...

I would go black. Such a great restoration demands black front end components.

    Pistons

I have done Google Search and sometimes I don't find what I'm looking for and I thought that asking the one's who have the experience was the best thing to do. For example, I asked why most on here have used KB pistons instead of using Speed Pro pistons. I entered that on the Google search bar...

I wish they had done a V8 Viper based motor. Bet it would have competed with the LS.

Wonder what the max HP that can be pushed through a stock block 383 and 360 ? 383 is noted for having the webbing and the stronger block vs any SBM.

Mid 90's Vipers (1996 per say)... 12.3 @ 116. No modern-day Hemi, just an extended 360!! :D. Faster than any factory 383 or 440 car made before 1970. your sure fun :D
