My 71 Demon has power steering and didn't come that way. That and header clearance has made me decide to convert to manual. I'm having an issue with the price of re-man'd manual steering boxes. HOLY CRAP! Hate to buy used, so who sells remanufactured boxes that ain't out to rape a guy?

OK got my Flaming River coupler installed and have an issue. The steering shaft and steering box input didn't line up straight. The steering shaft was actually about 3/8 inch low. Unbolted the three bolts inside the firewall and couldn't move anything. So...with a LOT of effort got it all...

Gonna put a new coupler on and also want to know about the lower column bearing/bushing. My car is a 71 Demon, 4 speed and right now.......I see nothing there. Some say there should be a bushing, some say they didn't come with one. Please let me know if I should have one down there or not.

Just got my Flaming River coupler and install looks to be easy,,,,except for unbolting the column. Couldn't I just pull the steering wheel and hub, then just slide the actual steering out of the column a bit? I just replace my ignition switch and this way seem easier to me. Whaddaya think?

In the middle of a header install and was wondering what the locknut with the slotted screw is for on the top of my power steering assembly. Hoping it's adjustment for steering play, maybe?

Can't seem to find factory style, rubber motor mounts or tranny mount for my 340 Demon. Don't want solid or poly. Any suggestions where to shop? Local Napa store has 'em..........made in CHINA! Not for me.
