Offy intake with GM 3800 supercharger adapted

I saw this on a group I'm part of on Facebook. Thought it might look good on the 70 Duster. Offy 4 bbl intake with adapter plate and GM 3800 supercharger. Looks pretty sweet, and he wants $650 for it. If anyone is interested, I can get the info on it for you.

Any idea how to get fittings out of aluminum intake?

I am throwing an old Performer intake and carb on my Ramcharger. I have to move the nipple for the heater hose and need to remove it and a plug, neither of which will turn. I've soaked them in penetrating oil, tried extending the wrench for more leverage, and against my better judgement I used a...

My new home fabricated ram air

Well, I finally got around to it. I've been thinking about this for a long time. I'm not sure I will get more high speed power or not, but I believe that the hood scoop pressurizes the engine compartment and minimizes the effectiveness of my electric fans. I hope to run cooler and get more power...

Power valve missing spring ***'y ... why?

I got my carb off and cleaned it up, changed the gaskets, new jet sizing and new power valves. When I got it apart, on the secondary side, the power valve was missing the spring assembly. It was just the diaphragm and the threaded stub. The missing pieces were not in the bowl, so someone at some...

    Holley carb jetting advice

I know this has been beaten to death, but my carb started dumping fuel this morning. I know just enough about carbs to be dangerous. I have often wondered what the jets sizes were, since this is the carb it was dyno'd with and I'm sure it was set up for max power, not street driving / power. I...

    Help identifying Holley carbs?

A customer brought in two Holley carbs he wanted to put on his old beaters. Both are double pumpers, but I am not sure how to identify them or where the numbers are. I see a bunch of numbers here and there but don't know what I am looking for. He has a stock 305 and a stock 350, both spreadbore...

Highhway freakin' robbery. Don't buy Product Engineering FPR

I loved my fuel pressure regulator until today. It works well and looks great. The diaphragm went bad in less than a year, but I run a lot of race gas, so I figured no big deal, I'll get a new diaphragm and get on with life. I finally tracked the guy down. It turns out his shop is fifteen...

Need a diaphragm for Performance Engineering FPR

Anyone know where I can find a diaphragm for my Performance Engineering fuel pressure regulator? Or maybe material to make my own? It's just a square of material with holes punched through for the bolt holes. I fixed it temporarily with a piece of inner tube, but the inner tube only lasts a day...

    Ingenious fuel pressure regulator repair

As we were driving to Mopars in the Park, I thought I smelled gas. We were close to my work, so I pulled in and opened the shop. The fuel pressure regulator was pouring gas out the top vent. I took it apart and found the diaphragm was torn in several places. 8:00 on a Sunday morning finding...

How to add a larger tube or sump an OE gas tank

I am pulling the trigger on an E85 carb. The recommendation is 10AN fitting to the pump and 8AN from the pump to the carb. 10AN is 5/8ths. That is freaking huge! I want to use my original tank and sender. Any ideas on how to sump or add a larger tube to the tank?

    Finally got the Holley on

I put the Holley on my 408. It is the carb that originally came on the motor but I never used it. I bought the pressure regulator and gauge and all the rest of the AN fittings and braided hose. It already had the dual fuel feeds in AN installed. I got it put in and every AN fitting I made was...

Anyone had experience with Clay Smith fuel pumps?

This may be a little like closing the barn door after the cows have all escaped. I already ordered the pump, and now that it is too late I am having reservations. I wanted a high volume fuel pump for now and for when I change to E85 in a few weeks. Has anyone had any experience with Clay Smith...

    Going from Edelbrock to Holley

Well, in preparation to my change to a Holley E85 carb in a few weeks or so, I decided to change my set up to my old Holley 750 DP. I bought a regulator, gauge and AN fittings. I also ordered a Clay Smith high volume pump. Holleys just look good. I like the set up. I like my Edelbrock, but...

    Pressure regulator and gauge questions

I am switching from my Eddy 800 to a Holley 750 DP to get everything working on the Holley before I switch to the Holley E85 conversion in a few weeks. My Holley has AN fittings that my Eddy never got, so as I was thinking of the fuel line layout, I decided that this would be a good time to pop...

Met an E85 carb builder last night

I was at the North Saint Paul car show two weeks ago and saw a 79 Trans Am with E85 stickers on it but never found the owner. Last night I caught him pulling into a parking spot. He told me he loves his E85 and took me a few cars down to meet the guy who builds them. His name is Rob Mix and I...

Thermoquad worth it - or no?

I have a line on a TQ 2146 carb. I have a 318 with a rpm air gap and eddy 800 now. I now the square bore won't work with the TQ. I also have a 408 with a Super Victor intake and a Holley 750 dp. Is a TQ a good choice, or a better choice. I thought they were higher cfm, but my brother told me...

    Carb advice?

I have an Edelbrock 1406 600 cfm carb on my Dart right now. It runs and idles beautifully. It is adjusted very well, but the mixture screws are way out. When I floor it it immediately winds up, I start to fishtail, and about when it begins to straighten out it starts to cough and sputter. I am...
