Bracket I made for bearing retainer to check clutch

Just thought I would share the bracket I made to mount the bearing retainer, so I can operate the clutch and check the air gap between disc and flywheel. I made sure the angle iron was flat and straight. Nothing special, but maybe it will help someone in the future.

Anyone using McLeod Super Street Pro Clutch

I need some input from those of you that are or have used the McLeod Super Street Pro Clutch. My centerforce pressure plate has gotten very weak with less than 1000 miles on it. I am thinking about using the McLeod this time because I don't like the weights on the centerforce pressure plate.

    Question about Rear bearing install

I am reassembling my A833 non-OD. Should the rear bearing that goes into the tailshaft be pressed up against first gear or pressed on just enough to get the snap ring on the shaft? I am assuming it does press all the way up to first gear so the gears are tightly meshed, but need to be sure.

Shifting into second gear issue !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My A833 Non OD is difficult to shift into second gear at any speed much above idle. I rebuilt it and put in new 3rd and 4th gears, also new brass synchros on all 4 gears. Second gear isn't the greatest but isn't that bad I don't think, but I am no expert. I plan on replacing it now that I have...

    possible downshifting issues????

My 4 speed ( non OD ) had some issues when I got it. I had to replace 3rd and 4th gear. Also replaced the brass stop rings and all bearings. It upshifts great, downshifts from 4th to to 3rd very good. When going from 3rd to 2nd seems like I have to slow way down to get it to go in. At what speed...
