    Budget Built Race Tranny?

Hey folks! Question is: Is it possible to have 727 tranny that can take 450 hp, 3800 stall, and 10.5 slicks all without gernading itself or the wallet? I've seen performance race rebuild kits with stronger bands and what not for around $200, but is it worth the money? Should I just buy a...

A guy on the local craigslist is selling a 8 3/4 3rd member from a (68,69,70) vintage Super Bee. He says it's posi with 2.73 gears. He doesn't know much else about it so i can't tell which casing it matches. He wants $100. Anyone think this would be a wise investment for the future? Down the...

    Is a 8.25 safe with 3800 stall?

I currently have a 8 1/4 rear end with 3.91 gears and just purchased a TCI Super Street Fighter torque converter that stalls to 3800 (possibly 4000). I was just wondering if anyone could gimmie an estimate on the longevity I should expect with that rear end set up? The car is set up for drag so...
