What tire sizes work with the factory wheels? I can’t find the actual specs anywhere online and my car came with 185/70 R13s on it. Being so old, god knows if that’s the correct size or if it just works. I’m looking at going with some nice whitewalls and found some that are 185/80 R13, would those work okay? I know the height and rim size are acceptable, but they’re a different width... what do you think?

Originally 650/13 now 188/80. Diameter is 24.7 in

Those size tires should be no issue with your 13" wheels. I have the same car, and I'm running 205/70-14 in the front, with 245/60-14 in the rear, all on 14" rims and everything clears easily.

That is 185/80 13. The correct diameter is 24.7. This will keep your speedometer accurate. I'm running 205/60 15's on all 4 wheels so that I can run 4 wheel disc brakes on CUDAVRT.

The correct replacement tire for your car is P185/80R13 but they're hard to find. Do not use a trailer tire.

Maxxis still has these tires and they're a good deal direct from them:

Maxxis P185/80R13 90S RWW MA-1

If you're thinking about going to larger tires, see Tire Upgrades.

My 65 -- 205/60-15" on front -- 245/60-15" on rear -- Both F & R are on 15" X 7" Wheels.
