18" Wheel help

Yeah the 10mm spacer would pretty much give you the same clearance to the springs I had when I was running my 295’s with drums, which wasn’t very much at all but didn’t rub.

Personally I don’t like running a plain spacer that’s more than a 1/4” thick, but there are definitely 10 and 12mm spacers available. The narrowest spacer/adaptors that have their own set of lugs are 20mm, and most are 25. So the 18x9 +30 puts you in a spot where you need a thick plain spacer.

As @michiganpat said, it would be just about perfect for an 8.8”. Would also be pretty close for a 65-67 B body rear.
I dropped off my 8 3/4 today at the shop, hopefully it will be ready in a couple weeks.
I have decided on the Enkei Raiji wheels and Nitto NT555 tires.
Fronts will be 245/40/18 tire on an 18x8.5 +35 wheel.
Rear will be 275/35/18 tire on an 18x9.5 +15 wheel.
Do these sizes all seem reasonable? Or go with a 275/40/18 rear being a little taller tire?
I will also be adding new leaf springs and shocks. Leaf springs are a ways out if i order from ESPO.
Just want to make sure my wheel and tire combos will fit before i place my order in the next couple days. @72bluNblu, i promis to leave you alone and not ask anymore questions after this, lol.
Thanks again to everyone who has helped along the way!

Might be a dumb question, but where did you guys get your Lug nuts from? Wheels and tires are ordered, now i'll need a set of black lugs of decent quality too.

Thanks

I get mine from Summit, they sell them as a set. I have the chrome version of these, I also have the longer version (1.9”) for the back as I have longer studs on my rear axles. They’ve held up very well and the spline drive makes them a good diameter for some of the late model aftermarket wheels with narrow pockets for the lug nuts.

Happy to say it’s finally ready for the road again, after a good cleaning.
Thanks again to everyone that helped me on this project!
It was nerve racking once I got the rear end back under the car and wondering if the wheels and tires would fit.
Everything fit perfect and I love the way it looks.
Couldn’t be happier!

You live in Mid Michigan like me. I gave up on chrome and all those lifetime warranty lugnuts years ago. I walked into my friends boat shop about two blocks from my house and we noticed the chrome was pealing off my year old lifetime warranty lugnuts. He walked over to his bin of solid stainless steel marine grade enclosed end 1/2-20 lug nuts for boat trailers for $1.25 each. Haven’t had an issue since and they are the most durable. Anything with a coating will get scraped off eventually.

You can get fancy ones from VMS and a few other companies.

Nice ! ! ! I copped some BMW M030 Wheels in a Gloss Black as well ....but since the World has gone to black wheels like Soccer Mom's SUV's, Police Vehicles, Garbage Cans, and even Golf Carts, I decided to get em powder coated in a Super White.....245/35R18 square......on a Dart, the rear sits lower than the Demon and it's pretty cool how they play hide and seek with the wheels out back.....VERY LITTLE ROOM without minitubbing or offsetting springs.....and this was with a 1" spacer just to change the BP to a 5*4.5......

This was clearly a scenario where I procured the wheels and was willing to do what was possible to make them fit....and luckily besides rolling the front Fender's corner a bit, it all fit......now I get to go through the whole process again when putting an 8.75 out back.....the 8.75 without the 1" spacer will make things interesting again.....

The spring offset kit was a pretty easy install once the old brackets were removed.
I kind of like the white wheels too.
