t done.

That's a really nice car. I sure wouldn't heat the intake with water though. I don't care what the "experts" say. lol

Yeah, I actually want to take that off. Just looks a little clunky and I'm not driving this car in cold weather so I do not see the benefit
Thinking of getting a couple of plugs and eliminating the hoses and fittings. Hope that won't screw up the car.

Not hardly. It'll just make it a little more cold natured is all. You may even notice a power increase. Now of course, all the experts will weigh in about "proper fuel atomization" blah blah blah, but that's only when the engine's cold. Once warmed up, the benefit from a non heated intake far outweigh the longer warmup times.

And hay, if you just caint stand it, you can always put it back.

You could just shove a plug inside the heater hoses leaving enough room to reconnect them to the manifold. The hoses look long enough that if you ever wanted to return to factory setup, just cut the hose behind the plug.

Very nice. Trying to wrangle a better price myself on a 64 200 convertible. Are those 13 or 14 inch wheels?

This stuff is coming off today. Going to get some heater hose and eliminate it. Funny you should mention. No matter how you start a car when its cold the coolant is also cold and would not matter lol. Saying that I have no plans to drive the car in super cold weather and probably would not cruise when temps are less than 40 degrees and I think there is enough heat under the hood to keep the carb reasonably warm. The heck with it, this stuff is gone lol.

just going to get a piece of heater hose that fits from the engine to the firewall. Hanging the short hoses on a hook in case I want to change it back.
