I think they could have come with either, both were available from what I have read. You guys talking Sure grip 7 1/4 or 8 3/4 ?
I’m sure it’s not that big a deal but I have a 65 gt 273/2 with a 7 1/4 sure grip, 10in brakes all around and it’s on the original window sticker.
That’s really cool to have, pics of the car?
Cool GT! Since I collect codes for 1965 would it be possible to get a copy of the MSRP invoice and a copy of the fendertag?

I bet that 340/3.23 combo was fun. What, no 3.55 available in SG? that's odd......My 65 had a 3.23 SG and a transplanted 68 340, I blew the 7.25 and had to get another fast, I ended up with a 2.76 one legger and that motor hated that rear. The 3.55 would be a great 273 rear.
About unbeatable. I beat a 69 Camaro with a 403 and would toy with a Duster 340 that lived on my way to work. When I got that 2.76 rear end in there, it turned tame on me on the street but would tear it up on the freeway.I bet that 340/3.23 combo was fun.
