That's a looker! My next (and may be last) Mopar will be a 64 Dodge. Polara or 440 model. I would take a 330 but most of those are on the drag strip. All 65 Polaras have big blocks (383 2-barrel standard). Front looks a little too much like a 61 Lincoln (blame Elwood Engle for that), but overall can be a nice looking car. Mechanically, you can do most anything with it. I pulled this image off the interwebs:

PS: as noted above, NOT an early A body. Back in the day, A bodies were my preferred size. C bodies were boats. Now that I'm older than dirt and many pounds heavier than I used to be, they keep looking better and better to me.

To the OP, look the car over and don't buy a rust bucket unless you want a project and can do the repairs. Remember, not too many repop parts for these cars so what you need comes from other cars.

You have any photos?Looking at a 65 Polara.......
What area known issue areas ?
What to look for and what to look out for?
Thanks
There's all sorts of unique parts on that C-body. Just about every body part is '65 only, as well as the door glass(s), dash parts, automatic transmission and shift cables, to name a few.Looking at a 65 Polara.......
