1967 Dart 270

More progress than I thought I'd make today. Still have to spiff the wiper motor up and install, swap in the clutch pedals, refresh the heater box & install new core, install the drivers vent and e-brake cable and finish the work on dash cluster before I can drop the dash assembly in. Almost emptied out another parts bin.

Progress.

Some "back in the day" pics of my old Dart. I'm pleased with the progress on this one the last 2-3 weeks and hoping to heave a 318 in the bay by the end of the month.

Vastly amused when checking the driveshaft application chart that my GTX and the Dart have exactly the same length driveshaft. I'm 100% sure I have a spare 51.50" driveshaft about, if not several.

Cool pics! I bet those brought back some good memories.

Last of the firewall & kick panel insulation installed along with drivers floor vent and clutch pedals. 2 more bins off the floor!

Ya man, can't wait to be driving this beast. As much as I love my GTX the Dart was my first Mopar and it had a different personality than the GTX. Both were equally fast and feared but the GTX always had a certain expectation of being fast whereas the Dart you could screw with people due to it's unassuming outward appearance. I'll have to take a picture of the Eliminator trophy from Englishtown where my buddy Bill and I waded through a pack of cars to met up final round and beat his big block 4-speed Dart for the win.

"Rookie class" Bill and I had a few years under our belts street racing by then.

He still has the Dart, it is a real deal GTS big block 4-speed car that now sports a 440 with a 6-71 blower.
