1969 ~ 440 'Cuda 'M-Code' vs. COPO #9561 Camaro

-
Yaaaa that's it only chry's just pushed in and could be taken out easily!!!

General Motors little brothers {Pontiac, Buick and Oldsmobile} were
notorious for using incorrectly calibrated electronic Tachometers.

The {1968 thru 1972} AC Delco circuit boards were purposely set up that way.

And 'no' Potentiometer to re-adjust the Tach.

The Tachometer would show 5000 RPM's, but the Engine was revving
at 500 RPM's less........ at 4500.

To prevent those Engines from going........'BOOOM'

Doubter,

In 1969 - 440 A-Body cars in 1969 Super/Stock were capable of running 11.70's @ 120 MPH.

This is a 'rare' 1968 Dart GTS 383 {w/440 conversion} running in 1968.

That car looks to have the front sway bar still installed in it.
Kinda odd or did Landy know something we didn't.

Was this the car?
http://www.nickeychicago.net/vehicle.php?id=71

If so, I have driven it and it was THE most wicked sounding vehicle I have ever driven!

It could well have been.

I saw that Camaro run at New York National Speedway {AHRA} in
1969 and later.

And here it is in 1969........
