I have a 71 Demon with knob style radio but recently looked at a 71 Demon with thumbwheel radio. Was a thumbwheel even available in 71 ralley dash? I'm thinking this may be a 70 dash that was installed into the 71 Demon. Anyone know for sure??

70 Rally had the thumbwheel, 1971 had the round knobs.

Maybe a super early 1971 overlapped, but I have never seen it.

Does it have a cigarette lighter in the dash or a hole for one? If it does its a 70 dash. I have see 71's with 70 thumb wheels to hide the dash being cut for a stereo in the past.

Looks like cigarette lighter hole to the right of the radio? ---- SPD is 419

Well it has 73 / 74 seats. Volare/Aspen shifter. and they never offered white 71 door cards so they are painted. No Demon door emblems. 72-73 air cleaner. So why would you think its a 71 Dash? I believe what you have here is a mix breed commonly seen since they sell the Demon tail light panel and lights. Post some pics of the rest of the car. Especially and angle shot of the tail light panel. The tail lights don't fit the new AMD Demon panel. Ask me how I know?

Did anyone notice this 71 Demon has a 72 fill tube? That is because they are 72-76 quarter panels. The 71 tube and cap did not fit flush . I wasn't fitting that from the 71 quarter. It is a customers car and money was an issue with him. Customer always buys the parts. We use what they pay for.

Just like the AMD rear bumper . They are all dished down like this on the passenger side. I have bought and installed several. They were all the same way. He didn't want to pay the extra to straighten it.
