1972 Dart Sport?

-

I don't like what I see for the price.
5k total to my door and if you argue, the price drops. You (He the seller) can walk if you don't like it.

Did he send you any side shots of the car? Clearly the car has been repainted (inner fenders look black compared to the purple exterior colour on the top of the fender) so there's has to be some bondo on it..... it's worth seeing how 'good' a bondo job was done in a pic rather then sending the troops out first. That first pic in your thread that showed a (horrible) reflection off the drivers fender has me thinking there's bondo all along the sides. Based on what you've told us so far, I wouldn't pay $7k for the car. There will be other Duster's for sale... don't jump on this one unless the price is lower.

I agree, $7K+ for a slant six Demon with some suspect bodywork and questionable modifications is too much. Clean, original granny-driven A-bodies are still out there for well under $5K.

When I first saw this post a few days ago, my reaction was the same as member H22A4...the light reflection pattern off the front fender looked like poor body prep and paint. The GM seats and GM black innerfender wells on the recent pics and a "non working posi (GM term) didnt help my impression either, I see a trend here. Any way from where you are at to verify its really a 340??

Well he gave me the vin # but said he had to leave out the last 4 for security reasons, does anyone know how to decode it LL29C2B40xxxx
anyway like everyone said it seems overpriced, but 68-340-s (Adam) might check it out for me who knows if its decent ill try to lowball em there are alot of A bodies out there!

Thanks Adam! well i guess that explains the sports hardtop in the listing, he said it was originally a slant six Demon, so at least he was honest about that! Oh BTW any more leads on any cars?

Rims and tires will make a huge difference on that car.
Hes supposed to have another set of rims like the ones on there but in better condition, i like welds myself, i nabbed a set with new rubber for my stang last year for $480, mabye I can find a deal like that for the Duster, ya never know

If the last picture of the car from the side is the one for sell it is a Duster not a Dart Sport. Look at the hood. A Dart Sport has a seperate front valance. On this one the hood goes all the way to the grill.
