1972 Dodge Colt

I have the block and parts cleaned.
Made a couple of templates for some pan baffles.
Not real complex, just going to control a little oil on launch and stopping.
The windage tray comes down on the front and rear of the pan anyway.
Checked my low pressure switch with the air compressor, between 10 and 15 PSI.

MOC-OK (Mechanical Operational Check - OK)
I spun the mock up engine over with the starter after fabricating an adapter plate.
All of this can bolt into the BB Bell starter hole, so no problems spinning the new motor over.

Engine is in.
Lets hope it stays in there for a while.
Lots of details to complete, but this is a big part on the final push.

Got the damper installed, thanks Rusty on the install tool recommendation.
I already had a puller so I bought the install tool only.
It stuck on the first attempt, but after some fine tuning, sanding, it went on perfect.
Also fabricated the starter adapter after I got some better material.

Well July is here and of course no where close to where I thought I would be by now.
Sometimes it gets frustrating and I get discouraged at all the things that are standing in the way.
But, even on a bad day I am still blessed to be able to work on my dream.
And no one said it would be easy.

Starter is in, bell housing has been modified to I can remove the bottom half without removing the transmission. Still moving in the right direction.

man, you got that right

If it was easy, you know the story,,,women, children, and politicians would be doing it!!!

Like you said, we are blessed every day one way or another.

Hey Stan! Awesome work, looks great. That bellhousing mod is interesting, not sure how you did that! Is that gonna be OK with tech? I always heard no mods allowed to a blow-proof bellhousing. I was a little worried when I drilled a hole in the back of mine to adjust the Soft LoK clutch. : )

Hey VA man!
If you don't tell anyone they won't know.
That is a bad answer, but Lakewood welded the trans studs to the bell.
If they didn't do that I could remove the lower cover.
The 2 slices are in a section that is sandwiched between an internal steel plate and the trans.
When the trans comes up tight you can't see the notches.
I don't see any strength removed from the bell.
Maybe in a 7 second twin turbo, I would worry.
11 Sec Slant Six, I should be ok.
Good question.

What kinda HP figure you think that's gonna have?

Thanks Craig, I guess you can find anything at Carlisle.
I went to Hershey one time, didn't find what I was looking for.

A few years ago I purchased that sign and another one in Houston for $200.
And I found a Clock on epay.

I have been busy working on the brakes and clutch.
Here are the underside details, I spent a few days on my back getting the lines routed.
Last picture is the hydraulic throwout bearing in the bell.
