It has begun! For those that watched my Coronet restoration over on the B Body Forum (1968 Coronet 500 Project) a few years ago I am about to embark on a Duster build with/for my youngest daughter! She will be delivered tomorrow! History and what we are doing with her will be coming. The Coronet took 1 year exactly and with help we are hoping this is a 10 month build to the first drive!

We are also getting a '74 Dart to pull all the parts off to put in this roller

Here is what she is wanting to build at first

But decided to go with the factory colors with the Twister graphics.

First afternoon with the Duster. Pulled about 40 lbs of Cholla Cactus and packrat droppings and gutted the interior, if not for a piece of cardboard in the spare wheel well that started some rust it would be perfect. It does need a left inner fender since someone started to hack out big block header holes :(

I let my daughter run the impact to remove the seats and disassemble. She has not given up yet :)

My big question....will the Pep Boys air cleaner make an appearance on this build? LMAO!!!

Looks like a nice car to build.

Digging around the rear quarters finding out how much hidden rust there is. Was there a shift if metal gauge between 1968 to 1972? It sure seems like the Duster sheet metal is not quite as heavy as the Coronet....
