Hey FABO, I have a mostly complete 74 swinger with a /6, and also a not so complete 72 swinger factory v8 car. The 72 will be getting a 360 soon and will need extensive wiring work. Since the 74 is mostly complete I was wondering if I could take the entire harness from the 74 and use it in the 72. Does anybody know what this task would require? Thanks.

It'll swap but I would recommend swapping it all if you MUST swap, and I don't really recommend using it.

I usually just pull one harness out a bit at a time, label all connections on the new harness as it's removed, and install it a bit at a time as the old one comes out. Tedious and messy but better than getting mixed up. Keep a laminated color printout version of the harness diagram at the ready

Please please please attach a big plastic tag to the harness somewhere obvious that says what the harness is, so the slob that has to work on it in 20 years can deduce what's going on. That slob may be you, with a lot lost in the fog.

Any idea of where to find the wiring diagrams?

There are HUGE differences between the 72 and 74 harnesses, though the major circuits are essentially the same.
You would be miles ahead to sell that 74 harness, and find a 70-72 Duster, or 72 Dart harness.

I agree with Nitropunk. No Chinesium and try to find the right year harness if you can. Your wiring diagrams won't conspire to spontaneously combust if you do.
