since this is the first time out with the new combo, i decided to do footbrake the first pass. i didn't know what the car would do. left off idle (1700 rpm idle), shifted at 7200.
1st pass, 1.35 60', 5.83 @ 118.30, 9.18 @ 145.02. straight as an arrow and smooth. very happy since i changed a lot since the W2 combo.
2nd pass, 1.34 60', 5.83 @ 117.16, 9.19 @ 144.46. car came up high, did a 80' wheelie and broke the 60' beams with the back tires. i used the trans brake on this pass. that was the only change to the car.
3rd pass, 1.23 60', 5.81 @ 106.79, 10.45 @ 84.76. made shocks changes on all 4 corners to tame the launch down. air shift didn't go into 3rd gear so i aborted the run.
4th pass, 1.23 60', 5.81 @ 108.51, 9.33 @ 140.19. made a few more shock changes to the rear. very smooth pass. air shifter didn't shift into 3rd again so i manual shifted into 3rd, but didn't get it in time to nail the shift perfectly.
5th pass, 1.23 60', 5.73 @ 118.20, 9.08 @ 144.65. made another shock change to the rear and raised the shift rpm to 7600. still had to manual shift into 3rd but i was ready this time and wasn't late. car picked up in 1/8 and at the top end.

i'm super happy with the 1st outing with this combo. checked a couple plugs and timing was good. just a bit on the rich side but in the safe zone. this was all about getting the suspension dialed in. now i can get after it on the tune and see if i can get a 8 sec times slip.

3rd picture is how we have it leaving now.

air shift didn't make the 2-3 shift. i had a bit of trouble getting it into 3rd gear manually

btw you build the motor yourself? I am jealous of you guys that get to go racing.. I love watching brett millers motors when he posts videos.. those W motors are insane
