The rebuild on our 67 FS Barracuda is near tire decision time. The car is a cruiser, not a racer.

It has a 318, automatic with 3.55 diff and KH disc brakes. The original engine was gone and the ring gear was singing when we got it. A new 3.25 ring gear was not available for the 7.25 diff, so we replaced it with a 3.55.

The plan is to use 14”, 5x4 Mopar Rally wheels. So, with the 3.55 diff, I was thinking 225-70-14 would help reduce the highway rpm’s a bit. I was thinking Cooper Cobras (225-70-14) all the way around.

Does anyone have any experience with these tires and wheels on a 67 Barracuda? Any rubbing or interference?

I would say that you will be good to go if the wheels are factory.
They should be 5 1/2'' wide and the tires are close to an original E-70-14.

That's a 26.4" diameter tire. I think it's too tall. Search that size in the FABO search function and you might get some results of past experience

I had those same 14x5.5 rallyes on my Barracuda when I got it. It had 235/60/14 (25.4" dia) and they were a close fit.

I don't think the 225-70-14 will clear the front fender on full lock with the suspension compressed (for example, turning into a driveway ramp). — the point of interference is the lower front corner where it tucks in. I run 215-70-14 on rally wheels and that is pretty much max diameter on the front. I have the Cooper Cobras and they seem pretty good. But you might need to run staggered sizes, or trim the fender corner about 1 inch.

195/70-14 Front and 225/70-14 Rear Would look good and Clear the Front. One Inch Narrower and One Inch Shorter.

That size will work, just have the front height of the car correct, also you might have those inner fender brace support that need to be removed to fit that tire two bolts and your done.

Here is the front 225 70 14.

225 is to much tire in my opinion.

215/70-14 would be a better option.
Think 26" max for front tire.

Here's a trick for lower front fender rubbing.
Cut off wheel, and some touch paint.

Here are some 225-70-14 on a Valiant that I had, fenders are a little different, never had a problem.

Years later I put one of these in my Barracudas trunk and almost couldn't get it out.

See similar thread. The 225/70/14 Cooper Cobras will fit 67-69 barracudas.
