I'm looking for a new camshaft for a 1965 273 x 4 bbl. I'm not sure how to get the NOS ones since I haven't found one in over 20 years. I think I can live with a brandnew one. Is it someone who knows where to get them? Thanks for any info in this matter!

I got one from Iskendarian a few years ago that came real close to the stock specs. Works real good.

Thanks, Mark

I have a comp cams Solid 20-246-4 468 lift. This has been one of the recomended "hotter" cams for this motor for years.

MoPar has not carried that cam in years. The newer replacement cams are better and speced real close.

For exact replacement, call EGGE. THey will weld up a camshaft to that profile and want yours as a core. Very good comany on hard to find engine parts.

For a very, very close replacement look at the Iskendarian E4 part number 390144. I've used that cam and it performs almost exactly like the factory 273HP cam in all respects. www.iskycams.com

Just bought one for my 273 build. A bit more than stock specs but don't go too radical on the 273. It doesn't need much cam unless you plan on revving it to 7 or 8,000. LOl. I have spent a lot of time on the desktop dyno and although not the gospel, I found that bigger cams kill bottom end torque and raise HP to the high RPM limits. A post or two worth looking at. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=71372&highlight=273+cam+specs

(Check out post #12. You can hear the Isky E-4)
