I have a 340 block, the numbers on one side are 3577130.TA.340.1 and the other sie are 11. 25. 69. can any one help identify what car this came out of and also what wood be a fair asking price to sale it for. Thanks

You have a 1970 model TA/AAR Cuda block. Worth big bucks to the big E-Body crowd who own (or cloning) a TA or AAR.

I'll take it right now !! Came out of a ta challenger or aar cuda , me want !

You got a winner, its a 6 week or so run of the '70 T/A block for the AAR-T/A that has the 4 bolt mains beef in the saddles (but not drilled). No idea on value, only the AAR-T/A crowd would know.

Get the vin off the pass side pan rail. If the car still exist, you can get some decent $ for it.

look for a vin number on the block...if that car still exist then that block would be worth alot to that person....

Kind of a silly question, but these blocks are extremely rare. What is the condition of the block. Rare or not, if it is cracked is it worth anything?

silly answer...would you buy a cracked block?.....

Depends on where its cracked (and if its the original engine to the car). If the cylinder is cracked, sleeve that SOB and have at it

If it matched my car, I would find a way to fix it.

My neighbor has one of each.
T/A challenger
AAR cuda.
One 4-speed, one auto.
He planted trees around them so nobody could steal them.
Complete cars, carbs everything. sitting for over 20 years.
Sad.

70 AR

I was just wondering. The OP does not mention how he came by the block. All I know it that I have heard these blocks can demand some big bucks. Was it in a car? Found in a junkyard? Maybe some pics of the internals would help. Bores, journals, etc.

Trees can be cut down so cars can be rescued. You just have to out run bullets.

I'm a long way from West Virginia............could you do me a favor ?
Drop by next door and punch this dolt in the face for me.
What an ***.
As to the value question , it depends.
If it is a usable block , it is worth quite a bit I bet.
If you could find the car it came out of , quite a bit more.
