Ok, I have determined my economical build. (well, more economical than the stroker). I have the 340 block and performer heads 60779 good to .575 lift. .060 forged pistons 9.5 to 1 and going with the XR274R cam and the 828-16 lifters. What pushrods and rockers would you suggest?

Since you have a comp cam I would go comp roller tip rockers. I have a mopar cam and use comp roller rockers so it really doesn't matter I guess. Crane rollers are nice but also seen some broke ones also awhile back. If the geometry is correct on the rockers to valve stems , push rods I really don't see problem with Crane, Comp, Hughes. I did use the Hughes rocker shaft retainers.... those are nice.

I went with Comp Cams Pro Magnum steel roller rockers and a Hughes Engines hold down kit. That combination worked well with the Eddie heads.

You will need to mock it up and measure for push rods like suggested above. If you go with the Pro Magnum rockers pay special attention to the rocker adjuster. Too far out or in and the oil hole won't line up and no oil to the top of the push rod. So you have to get the push rod length correct. I went with hollow push rods on mine so I get oil from both rockers and push rods.

I say use Hughes rocker arms and their hold down kit... I have their 1.6 setup on my 530 HP 408 stroker. Quality, fitment is top notch.
