~450hp from stock stroke 340?

I have ductile iron rockers which are not a true 1.5 ratio. Lift is just over 600

Not so far, but like I was saying you can see that it would be easy to not get it sealed on the dyno.

So I’d need to strip the headers, drain the oil, pull the engine off the dyno, stick it on a stand, remove the pan, install the scraper, seal all that up and stick it back on the pump.

Oh yeah, I’d need to remove the drive plate and flywheel to get it on the engine stand.

I’ll think about testing it with and without the scraper but I’m at best 50/50 either way.

No need to torture yourself. I'm confident that the way to go. When you look at the I-H webpage, the FE windage tray looks like the perforated tray I made for my 340. Jenkins seemed to be proud of the gains he was getting out of reduced windage.
 
For what it's worth, I had a stock stroke 340 built almost 25 years ago that made 480HP @ 6,3000RPM & 450TQ @ 4,800RPM, this was for a street driven 72 A Body with a 4,800RPM converter and 4.30 gears. Great motor, which would spin up quick and pull hard.

340 block bored 0.030"
Standard forged steel crank
KB hyper pistons & molly rings
OEM reworked 340 rods
MP 557 solid camshaft
Edelbrock heads, 60 cc chambers, mild porting, int 269cfm / exh 190cfm peak
Static comp 10.8:1
Edelbrock air-gap intake
Holley 850 DP

Really basic combo that was quick and surprised lots of Brand X guys.

1.30 lbs-ft per cid not too bad nice engine.
