The 4 way flasher was mandatory for N.Y. In 1966 and was offered as an option by dealers.

The car came from New York.I need to evict the mice before I go digging in to see if I can backwards engineer it. Hard to see when your afraid of getting nibbled on by Mickey.

The eBay switch Capt46 link looks like my old switch. On this type switch there is a wire from one of the terminals going to a red warning light instead of your dash turn signal lightsbut did find an original Flasher bezel and the push/pull switch. View attachment 1715080606

yup, It has non switched power.So does the flashers work when turning the switch on?
