6513R HEI Dizzy fit on 73 Dart Schwinger

So I finally got around to installing my 6513R HEI Dizzy. Well it's not fitting and is right up against the Wiper Motor. It sets in the mani which is an Air Gap. No room for wires or to rotate it very much either. Anyone with same results or is there some magic workaround? The Cap is way too honking big....

I'm thinking about a "ready to run dizzy" from Pace Performance to mate to my FiTech. Anyone have any experience with these?

Most people can't fit those "coil in cap" HEI distributors in an A-body. Perhaps they fit in trucks. Many posts on the "ready-to-run" Ningbo distributor. A few state reliability issues, mostly w/ the bushings wearing soon or a bent shaft, but most have no problems. Lube the shaft first so the bushing doesn't fail on startup. I paid $45 from Steve White Performance (ebay), but you can pay much more for the same PN from others. Needs an e-core coil to work best.

Just use HEI with a Mopar EI distributor. @TrailBeast here sells great ones.

Well I got it in there after another try and one of the plug boot does drag a bit past the wiper motor.

I gutted out all of the old ignition and wiring already.

I think I'll give her a try.

I won't sell the large cap to hei to A-body guys typically. If you don't want timing control with the fitech, the little hei's are fine.
