bought this cause my kid wanted to get a old car running ...
its been sitting for what i think is about 20 years
plan to make it run /stop/go new top and sell
interior is moldy but not bad
someone bondo / spay foamed the quarts ....starting to bubble looks ok from 25ft ..ha trunk looks ok ...
haven't put on the lift yet
225 6 auto ps car
the first thing is the hood (thats what got me on the forms) rusted bad enough it bent ...finally found one local
so i seen clusters for sale (worried about moldy) but think mine looks differnent ....(i think) are there differnet ones
the other thing is d/s door hindge is worn out ...is this a problem to find seems 66 is a one year only body ...
my true love is my 69 convert so don't want to go crazy on this more as a training for the kid
do early pre 66 parts fit /i do want to up grade to a dual master

63-66 are all close to the same and some parts may interchange. It depends on what part. 63's are kind of odd ducks in many ways just because of them being the first year for that body style. No V8's were available so things under the hood are a bit different. 64 and 5 had cable operated automatics and a ball and trunion front u joint. 66 had linkage and a cross style joint front and rear. The early cars had wider bucket seats and a small shifter console. 66 went to narrow buckets and the newer style coffin shaped console between the seats. 64 and 65 (possibly 63) front fenders interchange. 66 is 1 year only. The hoods fit the fenders too. Tail lights are different as well 63 and 64 are similar. 65 and 66 are different but they should interchange because of similar mounting although the back up lights are in the tail lights where the BU lites in the 66 are in the bumper. (which is 66 only). Other similarities and differences are like any car ever built. Any brand.

Yeah, go with the '67-up braking system if you can. If it's the lower door hinge that is bad, that's an easy one to find (or get rebuilt by MoparLeo) It fits all the '66-up A-bodies, '66-70 B-bodies, and believe it or not, all the '72-93 pickups.

1966 Darts all had the same basic instrument cluster, the only differences are in the center dash and glove box trim; which depends on the model (170, 270, or GT), whether it had factory AC or not, and the station wagons with a power rear window and convertibles with a power top had an additional switch to the left of the heater or heater/AC controls.
Oh yeah, there was also different center trims for heater delete and radio delete cars...
All that said, the instrument clusters themselves were all basically the same.

Member @MoparLeo rebuilds door hinges.

Ok funny I guess i didn't look that close
Seen a couple clusters thought they looked like pre 66 square speedo..
Think its a 270 trim
I covered it up for winter. So didn't look so close
Other than moldy looks good

Seen the door hinge post made me question the hinges ...
I can re-pin the hinge and some slight welding..but if more involved then will need to source
Sad if I was ready would donate my 69 brakes

Oh and bench seat ...no tares yet
Its champain purple white ....kinda cool got rallies for it too

Many have upgraded to a dual reservoir. As long as it's for 4 wheel drum brakes you should be golden.

Yeah moving on from the pump and pray is always a good idea

You'll find SOME 67 parts swap

Bucket seat frames, backs, sides.
Parking brake handle.

And a hand full of others

Yes, I ran a '67-up master cylinder with 9" drums for a while myself. Needs appropriate lines and junction block, but you can keep the drums and wheel cylinders.
