'66 Dart Convertible 273 Hi-Po 4-speed

I love that rose color. The prices of everything keep going up and it would be easy to put $15,000 in one. For the person who has the money and wants a car for his wife that is nicely done and a turn-key ride, the price is right.

It is a lot of cash but to the person that can't do the work their self and has to take it to a body shop, it is a more than fair price. The body shop alone can run upwards of $10,000 and even if you use a Legendary interior kit, an upholstery shop charges quite a bit to install it if you can't do it yourself. Not to mention how much you will spend on a decent Dart conv body with a V8 4spd.

Those are good points and if it sells for that those of us that bought low and put more in than it was worth may recover our investment. That could also lead to more parts being made for our cars.

If it looks as good as it sounds then 18K is a fair price for it....Where else can you by a redone/new 'vert with a hipo V8 & 4spd for under $20K??? I spent $6500.00 on rechroming and paint & prep work on my '66 Form S - 4spd four years ago and that was considered a steal by all my friends! I started with a rust free CA car. Luckily my interior is original mint condition and the motor is in excellent condition. Plus, the higher they sell the better we all feel about our investments. Even though most of us will keep'em forever!

Mr ZooKypr you are absolutely correct. With the costs of parts, paint, chrome, etc., etc. a done car is a done car! If you can do the work for yourself it seems like lots of money but even then when you add it all up that price seems pretty fair, plus it is the asking price and I'm sure there is wiggle room.

Seen the pics on ebay...looks top notch, a "10"...BUT I don't think I'm feelin' the blue streaks on Cragars. Wish I had a little more dough handy.
I'd make a respectable offer...
